La canción que hoy presentamos fue escrita por Anthony Newley y Leslie Bricusse en 1.964 para el musical "The roar of the Greasepaint-The smell of the crowd" e interpretada originalmente por Cy Grant. Ha sido versioneada por muchos intérpretes entre los que encontramos a los vástagos de Frank Sinatra y Nina Simone. A destacar la última versión de 2.010 a cargo de Gregory Porter, un excelente cantante de jazz de la nueva hornada.

En la película de Clint Eastwood, "Medianoche en el Jardín del Bien y del Mal" ambientada en la ciudad natal de J. Mercer, Savannah, aparecía una versión muy sugerente de esta canción interpretada por K. D. Lang. La canción escrita por Mercer y musicada por Hoagy Carmichael en 1941 parece que evocaba el romance que Mercer tuvo con Judy Garland, se convirtió con el tiempo en un standard del jazz.
